The Barbie® Fashion Model Collection
The Barbie Fashion Model Collection stepped out onto the runway, so to speak, in the Year 2000. Designed by Robert Best and made from a material called
Silkstone™, the Barbie Fashion Model Collection dolls, or Slkstones as they are since referred to by Barbie fans and collectors, have the feel without the fragility of porcelain. The face sculpt reflects that of the original Barbie face many of us recognize from our childhood, but with face paint that is delectably 21st Century. Barbie returned to her original fashion model roots with this elegant and sumptuous collection.
